About Me

Strategic experience across hospitality, procurement, technology and sustainable growth.

I am a strategic business professional with extensive experience in the UK hospitality sector, business development, digital transformation and supply chain management. Over the years, I have worked closely with restaurant owners and suppliers, gaining a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry.

I hold a CIPS-accredited BSc (Hons) in Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the University of South Wales. Beyond my hospitality experience, I worked within the UK Cabinet Office's commercial function at the Crown Commercial Service (CCS). In this role, I led multimillion-pound procurement projects for the Ministry of Defence, gaining valuable insight into public-sector procurement, commercial governance and best practice.

In 2021, I partnered with GKSOFT and Dine In Table, companies that provide innovative technology solutions for the restaurant sector. Combining my academic background, corporate procurement experience and hands-on business-management expertise has given me a detailed understanding of the operational, commercial and technological needs of the UK Indian restaurant sector.

My passion lies in building trusted business relationships and delivering innovative solutions that simplify procurement, strengthen partnerships and support sustainable growth. My vision is to help build a modern, transparent and technology-driven marketplace where verified suppliers and restaurant businesses can connect with confidence, creating long-term value for the entire hospitality community.

The British Curry Industry: My Perspective

Honouring the pioneers while preparing the industry for the digital age.

The British curry industry has given our community pride, opportunity and lasting economic success. Its impact extends far beyond high-street restaurants, supporting a global supply chain and hundreds of thousands of livelihoods.

“We honour the pioneers who built this industry; now, it is our responsibility to carry their legacy forward into the digital age.”— Mohammed Baha Uddin
Industry Perspective

Building a collaborative, resilient and technology-enabled ecosystem.

The British curry industry remains the only major UK industry established and built entirely by Bangladeshis on foreign soil. While it has grown organically through the determination of generations of entrepreneurs, we have yet to develop a truly collaborative ecosystem.

Today, the sector faces mounting pressure from changing consumer expectations, rapid technological advancement, fierce competition, labour shortages and rising operating costs. Too many restaurant owners face these challenges alone, without affordable training, trusted guidance or modern technology. This vulnerability is often exploited by commission-based intermediaries whose interests do not align with the long-term health of the business.

To secure our future, we must collaborate to build a stronger, more resilient and technology-enabled ecosystem. By promoting knowledge sharing, trusted partnerships and sustainable business practices, we can protect the industry against internal challenges and external economic shocks while opening doors for future generations.

Professional Philosophy

Trusted partnerships create shared value.

The future of hospitality lies in transparent, long-term partnerships between restaurants and suppliers.

“By embracing sustainable business practices and modern technology, we can simplify procurement, strengthen supply chains, improve operational efficiency and build a connected marketplace that benefits businesses, communities and the wider economy.”
